Gerard Kornelis van het Reve (born 14 December 1923 in Amsterdam, Netherlands – died 8 April 2006 in Zulte, Belgium) was a Dutch writer. He adopted a shortened version of his name, Gerard Reve in 1973, and that is how he is known today. Together with W.F.
